Available vessel fleet
With considerable experience in vessel management and operations throughout Africa and the Middle East over the past 12 years, SGME holds an available fleet of vessels with strategic partners. We can quickly execute complex maritime projects in difficult environments with crewed vessels and efficient chartering modes.
Our Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessels are designed and equipped for anchor handling and towing operations. They are also used for rescue purposes in emergency cases.
Anchor handling operations requires vessels that are powerful, precise, and reliable. To meet the needs of our clients, we offer modern AHTS vessels, with key advantages: powerful engines and winches, exceptional maneuverability, optimized fuel consumption, fire fighting and pollution remediation equipment.
Since the oil platform disaster off the coast of Scotland on 6 July 1988, much has changed in the area of safety and prevention. Both standby- and guard vessels are now mandatory. In the event of a major incident, there must be permanent supervision. As part of the Netherlands Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Association (NOGEPA) and United Kingdom Offshore Operators Association (UKOOA) , standby- and guard vessels have become indispensable for properly functioning oil rigs.
Our PSVs (Platform Supply Vessels) are used for transporting supplies to the rigs and oil platform and return other cargoes to shore. The supplies include fuel, fresh water, equipment, consumables, stores and provision for the operation of the oil platforms and for the personnel onboard. The design and construction of these vessels depend on the working environment – weather conditions, distance from the shore, and hence design varies by location.
