MARIP family

SGME decided from the inception to design a unique uncrewed family of platforms for the worldwide survey and inspection market.

Customers require large, stable, multifunction, ocean going uncrewed vessels with important range and endurance, perfect connectivity, and low carbon footprint.

Twin-hull catamaran for ocean-going stability
Accommodation of any type of underwater sensors in 2 large moonpools.
COLREG compatible situation awareness system and obstacle avoidance.
Ultra-low diesel and bio-fuel consumption with dual waterjet propulsion.
Redundant communication systems for navigation and data transfers.
Inspection-class ROV launch and recovery capability.
Multiple surface information gathering radars and cameras.
Fully redundant systems in the two hulls.
Complete over the horizon capability.

The MARIP family of USVs are uncrewed remote-controlled vessels: autonomous navigation is monitored 24/7 form our shore control room. All vessels are internationally classed for 200 nm uncrewed navigation.

The MARIP program consists of a family of 3 classes of USVs designed on the same concept with 3 lengths: 12m, 24m and 42 m to respond to market requirements for increased payloads, notably for heavier working class ROVs.

First in the family, the MARIP-12 with a 5 ton main deck allowance and a 25-day endurance was built by our subsidiary RCDock Engineering BV in THE Netherlands. It underwent full sea trials late 2022 and was successfully classed by RINA as the largest classed USV in the world to date. It is now fully chartered by SGME for commercial operations world-wide.

The MARIP-12 series will be entirely built in the UAE and the following larger MARIP-24 in the final engineering stage is scheduled for 2024.”

We hence designed, engineered, and produced ourselves the MARIP family (Marine Autonomous Intervention Platform)
